Nothing like an invasive medical checkup to get your Friday off right. Particularly if you find you'll just have to GO THROUGH IT AGAIN in a couple weeks.

It was not a wasted visit, because I got six tubes of blood taken for a variety of tests, and a flu shot, and a referral to a dermatologist, but WOW do I wish I'd timed things differently.
