More than anything I'm a maybe-if-I-screw-my-eyes-shut-and-go-lalalala-it'll-go-away-or-at-least-become-easier-to-deal-with-ist. But I find that whether I'm being optimistic or pessimistic, I tend to feel that the lens I'm using is the clearest one going. In other words, when I feel like EVERYTHING IS DOOOOOOMED I feel like that's a realistic assessment and anything else is pie-in-the-sky pollyannity. And when I feel that probably things will work out more or less ok, I feel that anything else is deliberate Eeyoreitude.
