How are you liking Slammerkin? I read it once with great pleasure yet haven't been able to re-read it.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit, though I've only just started. Will comment more in a few days when I'm well-embarked.

I've read and enjoyed a couple of her books set in modern times - Stir-Fry and Hood.

I suddenly realized that I've tried to read The Life You Save... and couldn't get very far into it. I'll be interested to hear what you think.

Graham crackers and expired frosting?! LOL!!! *reaches for the Maalox* ;-)

Well, there are so few organic ingredients in the frosting, I don't imagine much can be wrong with it. (And frosting on graham crackers is good. Terrible for your teeth, of course, but good. If you love frosting, which, it may be obvious, I do. *g*)

Still... I think now I need to drink a lot of water and perhaps gnaw on some baby carrots. *g*

Oh, bless you. Last night I dined on leftover stewed cabbage and a tomato. I was feeling odd and isolated till I saw this.

By the way, the only reason I didn't have graham crackers is that my local convenience store was out...

*hugs you in the solidarity of odd and unbalanced meals*

I have graham crackers but no bread at the moment. Or milk because my half-gallon went bad when it ought not to have done so.
