Language of the Norse, Older Futhark! Thirty symbols, all told. And no hardier, more warrior-like tongue has ever graced the longships of the Viki or left the Celts and Saxons in such quivering fear. There's only one drawback, that being you died 800 years ago.

Older Futhark! It sounds like a demon language.

I like dead alphabets!

"Futhark" is from the names of the first six letters: fehu, uruz, thurisaz, ansuz, raidho, kenaz. It was used to write old Germanic languages, and its cousin the Futhorc (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Saxon_Futhorc) would still make a good spelling system for English.

Well, I came in as Linear B. And the final statistics suggest that no one else my age or gender has taken this test, since I was X more than 99% of the other people my age and gender who took the test, which means I'm the only one. I was simultaneously ideographic, alphabetic, logarhythmic, and whatever the fourth thing was. Snort.

I'm not entirely convinced that a people who could compose those Old Norse sagas weren't demonic...
