Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth I. This was my default icon for years, and it was my only icon for a significant amount of time. I chose it because 1) Cate Blanchett rocks 2) the hand-to-the-face pose is something I do quite a bit 3) she looks nothing like me and I wanted an online identity very separate from my real life.

glimmergirl in response to a request from me. I wanted a geek icon, and who better than Andrew to embody that part of me?
Giles OTeaP. Another Glim masterpiece. I really wanted an icon of Wesley holding his blue willow teapot with the text OTeaP, but good caps of that were hard to come by. Glim made this for me instead. It's lovely and led to me meetingpenwiper26. Hurrah!

This shot from the credits of the Petherbridge/Walter dramatizations always put me in mind of Holmes' flower speech in "The Naval Treaty." The icon's gorgeous but I never quite know when to deploy it.
