1. What scene in which movie is guaranteed to make you cry?
Lots of things in Return of the King get me, but it seems to be different things every time. Eowyn telling Theoden "I'm going to save you" just might win the sweepstakes there, though, over time.
Also, in K-19, the scene where the reactor officer freaks out and won't go into the chamber really gets me, and the scene afterwards, when Polenin (Liam Neeson) is comforting one of the horribly injured crewmen who went into the reactor chamber and the reactor officer is still hunched in a corner, trembling with fear and shameful relief.
2. What scene in which television show makes you tear up no matter how many times you've seen it?
Anya's speech in "The Body" on Buffy. Every time I think I'm going to be fine, and every time I tear up.
3. Is there any famous tear jerker of a scene that leaves you cold? Or worse, makes you laugh?
I don't know how tear-jerky the end of Gone With The Wind is according to conventional wisdom, but when Rhett said "I don't give a damn," I wanted to shout "ME NEITHER! BITCH!"
Also, in Moulin Rouge when Satine discovers she's dying. Doesn't make me laugh, but doesn't exactly turn on the waterworks.
4. Do you cry when a character on screen cries, or is it something else that gets the tears flowing?
Sometimes, but usually I cry (or come close) when the character is just on the edge of tears. Like in... shoot,
