My nails are tearing like pie crust. It seems that the tiniest impact on a corner starts them tearing horizontally, and of course once there's a small tear it catches on EVERYTHING until in short order the nail is ripped down to the quick. I've trimmed them as short as possible, but just now the nail on my second finger snagged. I can't keep bandaids over all my fingers (like I'm doing for my dominant thumb to try to preserve the half-torn nail there until it grows out just a little more.)

Do I need more vitamin E? Iron? Gelatin? A rare yellow flower that grows under the mountain?

Any suggestions gratefully received.
