breadandroses and the Badgers and I finished up s2 of Buffy and started s3, and then last night breadandroses and I started watching the pilot miniseries of the new Battlestar Galactica. HOLY WEEKEND OF DOWNER TELEVISION, BATMAN. ( Cut for basic BSG spoilers )
In other news, my bedroom appears to have eaten a copy of Devil In The White City, possibly in an attempt to keep me from acquiring additional creepy mental furniture. Over the weekend I read Ruth Reischl's Garlic and Sapphires, her memoir of being the restaurant critic at the New York Times. It's a funny and emotionally resonant exploration of food, memory, and (kinda) the sociology of restaurants. Also, there are recipes.
