For my reference, should I have another opportunity to do Remix:
Don't Cling To Familiar Characters
I lost a lot of time trying to use Giles in my remix, and in the end he mostly functioned as Mr. Exposition, and a crutch to keep me from needing to develop any OCs at the coven. I shoulda just let it go, and opened the way for more surprises like finding I can enjoy writing souled!Spike.
Start With The Pairing
This might never come up again, since it's unusual for a pairing only to appear at the end of a story, but I did stress a lot about getting to the actual pairing part since I had so much I wanted to cover in order to show how Tara got to the point of being ready to be with Faith. If I were starting over I might write the hookup first and then work back.
Be A Good Person And Feedback During The Anonymous Stage
