Things accomplished this morning:
trash bins hauled back to the porch
three parcels fully assembled
two sealed up and posted
one of these purchased so I can stop killing trees and dolphins every time I buy a couple bottles of wine for Badger Dinner.

In my state, beer-for-consumption-off-premises can be sold pretty much anywhere in single bottles or 6-packs, and in cases at Beverage Centers, but wine and spirits are obtainable only in state-run Wine & Spirits Shoppes. And there is apparently a state ordinance that patrons of the shoppes should carry away as much weight in packaging as they do in liquor. If I am not insistent, a purchase of two 750-ml bottles of wine will come with FIVE bags: a paper sleeve around each bottle, a paper grocery-sized bag enfolding the two of them, and TWO plastic grocery bags shielding that. I usually just take the sleeves, or ONE sleeve, to keep the bottles from clinking in my backpack, but last night it finally occurred to me that THERE ARE TOOLS for the task. TOOLS WITH HANDLES, yet.

Another tiny step in the marathon to eliminate waste.
