A little googling has shown that Pyrex explosions are far more common than I would have imagined. Most incidents I read about involved temperature shifts: for example, there are a lot of reports of dishes shattering upon being removed from a hot oven and placed on a merely warm stovetop. My experience of spontaneous quiche-crust explosion is not, however, unprecedented.

-go to the bank
-buy tokens
-buy a new phone cord
- finish cleaning out the oven
ETA: Wow, I think that was my most productive lunchtime errand-running ever.
