Okay, so while today was hardly a Smart Eating day, I was doing well on the Eat Meals, Not Snacks program. But I came into the house and suddenly it's as if I'm some medieval peasant who, after subsisting on twigs for thirty years, suddenly enountered desperately-needed sources of fat and salt.
In other news, I was greatly honored last night when Isis, the matriarch of Ben and Melissa's cat clan, sat in my lap. That's not quite accurate... she climbed into my lap... twice. Once she crawled out of Melissa's lap to sit in mine, and about ten minutes after she left, she jumped into my lap from the back of the couch.
Isis is fluffy and orange, and as old and crotchety as a cat can get. She has never so much as acknowledged my existence before. What's more, she doesn't acknowledge Ben's existence. So I'm preening a bit in my Isis-approved status.
