White Collar 3.02

Well, I spent a lot of that going WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK SEALED BOX AND MECHANICAL TURNING MECHANISM THAT GRABS THE PAGES WHAT CRAZYCAKES SCHOOL OF CONSERVATION DID YOU FUCKERS GO TO?? but the part where the Brahe book was a big fat fake consoled me. (The part where it seemed like they were saying the letter was part of the actual text of the book and thus would be available in any frickin' reprint and probably on Project Gutenberg... still bugs me.)

Given how messed up things were last week, I liked the consistency of the Peter/Neal chemistry being weird while the Peter/El is still as delightful as ever... but Peter and Neal being stiff and faking-normal with each other makes me sad.

I really like Smithsonian Art Theft Pursuit woman. Anyone know who the actor is? She looks so familiar.

This episode was more fun than 3.01, but honestly, I feel a little bit like I'm watching season three of seaQuest - there's the same sense of "this is not a bad show but it's a totally different show than I've been watching." Except, of course, with seaQuest it was "a totally different show than either of the TWO previous shows of this name I've watched."
