and another thing

what kind of a name is Students Against the Treacherous Use of Fur?

The score for Sherlock Holmes is excellently evocative. Lots of frenzied pizzacato violin that made me happy and conveyed the idea of Holmes' playing without the need for potentially-awkward faking by the actor.

Oh, I completely agree. The score was a big contributor to how much I enjoyed the film. (I like pounding!)

Though I do have to question the wisdom of producing a movie that uses music from Beethoven, Haydn, and the Dubliners and then released a soundtrack that excludes all of those numbers. Argh.

(Also, I would personally love to retire the film cliche of suddenly introducing Irish music during boxing matches/fistfights. But I like the Dubliners.)

Wait, none of that music is in the soundtrack? That's bizarre. Normally I never think to buy soundtracks but I definitely wanted this one.

Not that I could find; according to iTunes, it seems to be only what was composed for the film.

And yes, I don't usually go for soundtracks, but I really wanted this one. All of it.

POUT. That is very annoying of them.
